About Daren Marshall

Blue Label Diving’s Technical Diving Instructor & Representative in Brisbane

Daren offers personalised technical diver courses in Brisbane and across Australia by appointment in both open circuit and rebreathers. He specializes in professional film and movie production diving logistics, support and training.

Originally from London, Daren learnt to dive at the age of 23 and become an instructor in 1998. Diving the cold wrecks of Europe and teaching part time from his day to day job he moved to Brisbane, Australia, arguably Australia’s leading film industry areas in 2006 to focus on his full-time diving career.

His mentor is Blue Label’s training director Ben Reymenants and he joined the Blue Label team in 2011 at its inception.

An exclusively technical instructor for all major agencies – TDI/SDI, PADI & IART he teaches both open circuit & closed circuit rebreathers including the ISC Megalodon & Pathfinder, O2ptima, Poseidon MK 6/7 and holds diver ratings on most other units.

He is a factory instructor for the Dive Rite Nomad sidemount system and Dive Rite O2ptima Rebreather.

Whilst an Trimix CCR Cave Diver himself, he prefers diving wrecks, especially military ships and teaches overhead advanced wreck training.

Daren’s focus is the proper guidance & training of entry level technical divers and has presented on the subject in a number of venues including OzTek, arguably the largest technical dive show in the world.

When not teaching or on projects Daren works for the premium dive manufacturer Fourth Element in Australia & New Zealand and can often be found testing new cutting edge  products for the diving market.
