SSI Deep Diving Specialty Course

SSI-Diving03SSI Deep Diving Specialty is the ultimate depth-related course in recreational diving. As you know, greater depth tantamount to increased risk. Deep divers often mention ‘decompression sickness’, ‘nitrogen narcosis’, and ‘oxygen toxicity’ as a risk of a deep dive.

Hence, in your Deep Diving Specialty course, Blue Label instructors teach you about the theories and prevention of the said risk. You then put your knowledge to test by conducting 3 deep dives, which you will plan and lead one of them yourself.

Upon finishing the course, you can dive to a max depth of 40m. This course is also very useful when combining skills from other courses, such as Nitrox Specialty and Sidemount Specialty. Theory and skill-wise, these 3 courses will equip you with ample knowledge if you plan to venture into the mythical realm of technical diving eventually.

What do you do and where do we teach you

SC-DDBlue Label conducts SSI Deep Diving Specialty at dive sites with a min depth of 30m. Therefore, we go to Racha Islands for our deep diving course. Both Racha Yai and Noi possess dive site with great depth and good visibility.

To enroll in this course, you need to be at least an Open Water Diver. We also recommend you to have at least a good deal of buoyancy control. In truth, Deep Diving Specialty course is very suitable to conduct with Nitrox and Sidemount specialty. The 2 cylinders you carry in a sidemount configuration can compensate the greater air consumption at depth. Meanwhile, Nitrox can increase your bottom time by decreasing your nitrogen exposure.

By the end of this course, you will qualify to dive to a depth of 40m, without doing decompression stops. Your SSI Deep Diving Specialty course is a good start up point for your path into technical diving.
