Of course, there are always stories, and even conspiracy theories surrounding a submerged ship. In this course, you will learn not only about skills of the wreck diving specialty course, but skills to gather information about a wreck.
During your wreck diving specialty adventure, you learn how to dive a wreck in regards of the environmental condition.
By the end of the course, you will gain an understanding on how to judge a wreck site, and order to decide level and skills to dive without compromising the safety factor.
What do you do and where do we teach you
In Phuket, there are an abundant amount of wrecks of various sizes lying on the seabed. Ranging from the large King Cruiser wreck to the wreck cluster at Bay 1 of Racha Yai, we have plenty to offer when it comes to your Wreck Diving. Your SSI Wreck Diving Specialty course takes 3 dives to complete, so basically you need just one day.
Conveniently sunk in between Phuket and Phi Phi some 10 years back, King Cruiser is the largest wreck in Phuket water. Utilized as a passenger of the Phuket-Phi Phi line, this wreck sunk after hitting Anemone Reef. With the deepest part lying around 35m underwater, this wreck is perfect for a combination of SSI Wreck, Nitrox, and Deep Diving Specialty course. Many divers use a Sidemount system to dive here as well.
With a nicely intact interior, Blue Label also conduct wreck penetration here on our Advance Wreck courses.
Bay 1, Racha Yai
Bay 1 of Racha Yai is known for having a fleet of sunken wreck. Harruby Liveaboard was a dive boat wreck at 24m, and further east lies a fishing boat wreck. Schools of fishes make these wrecks their home. On the north part of Bay one, an old sail boat lies asleep here at 20m. Further south, the amazing Mystery Wreck lies at the depth of 34m.
This wreck is a good getaway for experienced diver from the crowded area, and a training ground for our Deep Specialty course. We are proud to say that we are one of the few dive centers that do regular dives at the Mystery Wreck.
