TDI INSTRUCTOR COURSE – ADVANCED NITROX

The TDI Advanced Nitrox Instructor Course, available in Thailand is for Instructors wishing to teach the use of EANx 21 through 100% oxygen for optimal mixes to a depth of 40 metres.

To become an Advanced Nitrox Instructor for TDI, you need to be an Open Water Instructor with 10 certified Nirox Divers and an advanced Nitrox Diver.

The objective of this course is to train Nitrox Instructors to teach the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for EANx 21 through 100% oxygen for dives not requiring staged decompression, multi level dives using gas switches to extend the NDL.

Most Instructors combine the Decompression Procedures course or the Sidemount Instructor course.

TDI Advanced Nitrox Instructor Course Prerequisites:

  • Minimum age 18
  • Min Instructor level: Open Water Diver instructor of an RSTC approved agency
  • Minimum certification of TDI Advanced Nitrox diver or equivalent
  • Provide proof of 100 logged dives, 25 must be nitrox dives
  • Must have certified 10 students in entry-level nitrox

Course Structure TDI Advanced Nitrox Instructor Course:

  • 3 days (one day theory – two days diving) 5 days  of which 2 days of theory and pool,  if combined with TDI decompression Procedures Instructor
  • Pre-requisites apply to all instructor level courses
  • Certification fee to be paid directly to SDI/TDI HQ

The course can be done on either advanced Sidemount setup or on Back mount configurations.
