TDI Poseidon Rebreather  –  TDI Diver Air Dil Decompression Course

This is the TDI Poseidon rebreather MKVI CCR Course 2nd level to 45 meters, diver certification, for divers wishing to use the MK VI Closed Circuit Rebreather for Air Decompression Diving.

This is the 2nd level certification course for divers wishing to utilize a Discovery Poseidon MKVI Rebreather (CCR) for air diluents diving. The objective of the course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for diving a Discovery Poseidon MKVI CCR and to develop basic diving skills to a maximum of 45 metres/150 feet using air as a diluent. Limited Decompression diving is allowed on this course.

Optionally, this course can be run using  ‘ tech counter lungs’ where the diver learns to manually add oxygen, perform diluent flush and use of off board gasses.

The skills include:

  • Unit buildup
  • Intact breathing loop verification
  • Electronic self test
  • Emergency procedures
  • Bail Out Procedures
  • Off Board gas Management
  • Proper maintenance of the unit

The objective of this course is to train divers to develop basic rebreather diving skills appropriate to diving within the normal recreational depth limits for limited decompression diving to 45 metres / 150feet using oxygen and an air diluent.
