Technical Diving Shop – Blue Label Diving

Our technical diving shop is the only technical diving shop that has been in Phuket for over 13 years. We have certified over 4000 technical divers and focuses mainly on teaching technical diving. Blue Label Diving is located in the South of Phuket. Since July 2021 Blue Label Diving has merged with Sea Bees Diving meaning we now have our own boats, pool, accommodation, restaurants and Liveaboards. We have moved to their location in Chalong 2 min walk from Chalong pier.

WHAT DO WE TEACH

We specialise in teaching technical diving courses certified by the 4 biggest technical diving agencies. We are an SSI instructor training facility, TDI 5 star instructor training facility, and can certify under PADI and RAID, covering courses ranging from sidemount to CCR rebreather down to deep trimix and cave courses. WHEN DID WE START

Ben Reymenants and Simone Reymenants met in 2008. As Simone was out of a job they started Blue label diving. We wanted to sell liveaboards at first as Ben was still working for siriroj international hospital in Phuket at the hyperbaric chamber where he had treated over 400 diving patients and Simone could manage the website from home.

After his time at the hyperbaric chamber in 2009 he got more and more requests to teach technical diving courses, this went so well and people were very impressed, that both him and Simone decided to just focus on scuba and tech diving and teach the customers how to dive safely. A job offer in the Maldives made Ben and Simone move in August 2009 and they together with Providers tried to set-up tech diving in the Maldives with the Maldivian Government. Unfortunately this did not work out and after 6 months Ben and Simone returned to Phuket in 2010. The Liveaboard market was saturated so when coming back Blue Label Diving became as it is today, a Technical Diving facility.

BLUE LABEL DIVING IN 2020

By 2020, we have certified over more than 4000 local and international students, have more than 30’000 followers on Facebook, broke a world record with a Japanese / American couple that got wed at 130 meters in a cave down south of Thailand, married a couple in Norway and became the largest underwater wedding in the world in Plura, helped to save a few kids from a cave and win awards from agencies year after year and only have 4.5 or higher scores on review websites.

BLUE LABEL DIVING IN 2021

What a crazy time this has been. Covid has done ore harm than good and BLD did everything to survive. Ben has moved to Europe and teaches courses in Finland and other European locations. Klaus, Claus and Simone continue with Sea Bees Diving called Sea Bees Tec ft Blue Label Diving.

THE BLUE LABEL DIVING INSTRUCTORS

Claus Rasmussen, technical Instructor at Blue Label Diving came to us end of 2016 and has been teaching ever since. Claus is a SSI IT, TDI instructor, CCR Instructor and cave instructor. Claus is Danish, has a wife and 2 kids and has been living in Thailand for over 12 years now. Claus was also involved in the Cave Rescue in Chang Rai helping to get the kids out of the cave. He was there for 7 days.

Klaus Klaeden, German, TDI Instructor, SSI IT and cave and CCR diver joined us in 2018. Klaus was a freelancer in Phuket for more than 5 years and after doing a few courses, recreational, for us Blue Label became more busy and we needed an other full time instructor. As Klaus is very good with keeping the shop tidy, great with paperwork, fix equipment and take care of hairy the cat, we decided for him to join our team.
