Why do the SSI Wreck Diving specialty course?
As many wreck lovers confess, wreck diving not merely diving, it provides an insight to the past. It offers divers a new outlet of adventure, providing a change from the normal coral reef diving. Of course, there are always stories, and even conspiracy theories surrounding a submerged ship. In this course, you will learn not only about skills of the wreck diving specialty course, but skills to gather information about a wreck.
During your wreck diving specialty adventure, you learn how to dive a wreck in regards of the environmental condition.
By the end of the course, you will gain an understanding on how to judge a wreck site, and order to decide level and skills to dive without compromising the safety factor.
Bay 1 of Racha Yai is known for having a fleet of sunken wreck. Harruby Liveaboard was a dive boat wreck at 24m, and further east lies a fishing boat wreck. Schools of fishes make these wrecks their home. On the north part of Bay one, an old sail boat lies asleep here at 20m. Further south, the amazing Mystery Wreck lies at the depth of 34m.
Day trip for Wreck Specialty Wreck dive 1. Boats in Phuket only do 1 wreck diver per day. To do this specialty you need 2, thus 2 days of diving with the same schedule.
